Step into a piece of Kentucky history. Built in 1882 adjacent to the legendary Red Mile Racetrack, The Round Barn Stable of Memories is one of Lexington’s most iconic architectural treasures. Originally designed as an exhibition hall before housing horses for the races, this four-story circular barn has been lovingly preserved and transformed into an extraordinary event venue, perfect for weddings, galas, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations, that captures the romance of the Bluegrass.
A stunning chandelier cascades through the center of the barn,casting warm light over your celebration. Exposed wooden beams, original brick, and elegant drapery create a rustic-yet-refined atmosphere that photographs beautifully from every angle.
Designed to accommodate both intimate moments and large-scale events, the Round Barn offers flexible floorplans, generous guest capacity, parking, and seamless access to downtown hotels and restaurants.
“We had the best experience with the Round Barn venue and Bayou Bluegrass Catering for our wedding. It was such a beautiful venue and the staff made our wedding perfect! Our friends and family still rave about how amazing the food was and how well the staff treated them. They are very professional and easy to communicate with. The location was perfect! “We were there for an annual fundraiser benefiting a local rescue. Fun, Mardi Gras theme for this one with the menu and decorations. Had a couple hundred on bottom floor only, plenty of room.
“I photographed Adrian + Kori’s wedding reception here in 2022. It is a beautiful option for an event space. And the sunset’s are amazing in the area. This is one of the only venues that has a setup that allows me to photograph down on a couple during dancing. Combine that unique angle with a DJ who provides dancing on a cloud, you get an amazing photo.”

How many guests can the Round Barn accommodate?
The Round Barn accommodates up to 250 guests for a seated reception or banquet, and up to 300 guests for a cocktail-style event with limited seating.
What is included in a Round Barn wedding rental?
Wedding rentals include an onsite venue manager, 5 hours of reception time (plus ceremony if held onsite), 6 hours of pre-event access for setup, white draping and bistro lighting, HVAC climate control, floor-length linens, and a full set of tables with 200 gold Chiavari chairs plus black garden chairs for outdoor ceremonies.
What’s included with my corporate or social event rental?
Your Round Barn rental includes an on-site Event Manager, white draping and bistro lights, heating and air conditioning, floor-length linens in assorted colors, tables and chairs for your event, and setup of all items included with the venue rental.
If you choose our in-house catering, additional perks include linen napkins, china, silverware, glassware, setup of rental and catering items, and venue cleaning and trash service.
Is an outdoor ceremony available at the Round Barn?
Yes. Outdoor ceremonies are available for a $500 outdoor ceremony fee, with black garden chairs provided for the outdoor setup.
What catering options are available at the Round Barn?
The Round Barn offers in-house catering through Bayou Bluegrass Catering and Bluegrass Thyme & Table. Outside vendors, florals, and planners are also welcome. Additional staff will be added to the final pricing to maintain the buffet, clear tables, and handle trash service during the event.
Does the Round Barn provide bar service? Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes. Bar service is available through Bayou Bluegrass Catering, including hosted bar packages, consumption-based packages, and cash/card bar options. Bringing your own alcoholic beverages is NOT permitted.
