Discover timeless elegance in the heart of downtown Lexington. Limestone Hall occupies the top floor of the Historic Fayette County Courthouse, a Richardsonian Romanesque masterpiece constructed between 1898 and 1900. The restored dome rotunda, original to the building, creates a breathtaking backdrop for wedding receptions and ceremonies, corporate events, fundraisers, galas, holiday parties, special celebrations, and cocktail hours that your guests will never forget.
Two grand event rooms connected by the stunning rotunda offer flexible configurations for celebrations of all sizes. The neutral color palette provides a sophisticated canvas for any theme, while floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space in natural light. Limestone Hall offers flexible capacity ranging from 50 to 300 guests, depending on the room, layout, and setup style, with two event rooms that can be used separately or combined.
What is included in a Limestone Hall wedding rental?
Wedding rentals include an onsite venue manager, 5 hours of reception time plus ceremony if held onsite, 6 hours of pre-event access for setup, house audio/visual equipment, floor-length linens, and a full set of tables with champagne Chiavari chairs.
What’s included with my corporate or social event rental?
Your Limestone Hall rental includes an on-site Event Manager, audio/visual capabilities including projection, microphones and house sound, floor-length linens in assorted colors, tables and Champagne Chiavari chairs, and setup of all items included with the venue rental.
If you choose our in-house catering, additional perks include linen napkins, china, silverware, glassware, setup of rental and catering items, plus venue cleaning and trash service.
Does Limestone Hall provide bar service? Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes. Bar services are offered through Bayou Bluegrass Catering, including hosted bar packages, consumption-based packages, and cash/card bar options. Outside alcohol is NOT permitted.
Is catering included with a Limestone Hall rental?
Catering isn’t automatically included, but booking in-house catering through Bayou Bluegrass Catering or Bluegrass Thyme & Table unlocks a reduced facility rate along with added perks like linens, coupe china, and glassware. Additional staff will be added to the final pricing to maintain the buffet, clear tables, and handle trash service during the event.

Yes. Its downtown location puts guests within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, and nightlife, making it convenient for out-of-town wedding guests.
Is parking available?
Limestone Hall does not offer on-site parking. However, metered street parking and several nearby downtown parking garages and lots are conveniently available. Metered parking is free on weekends.
Can I get ready at Limestone Hall?
Limestone Hall does not have a dedicated getting-ready space, so we recommend getting ready off-site before arriving at the venue.
